JUNE NEWSLETTER
Hello Nyayo family!!
Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ. These past six months we have experienced incredible miracles in our organization and we believe the next six months to the end of the year will be filled with God’s grace upon our lives and those we serve.
Steps of faith
As we step into this remaining month, our decree is that we do so by the power of faith. Our leadership team leans close to 2 Corinthians 5:7; “live by faith, not by sight .” In the beginning of this month we took steps of faith by starting a few sustainment projects that included a cattle and pig farm. The primary purpose of these two projects is to provide food products for the kids and also create income that can be used to supplant what we raise. We are happy to inform you that these projects have kicked off and are off to a great start. The cattle herd now consists of two heifers and a bull that are located adjacent to Ibonde Children’s Home. The pig pen, that is capable of housing 50 pigs has also completed construction. This month we allocated funding to buy our first 4 piglets to start growing that herd as well!
Team news
We had the opportunity to be interviewed on a podcast called The Difference Makers, a husband and wife team that shares stories about different people undertaking various missions with the purpose of encouraging others to do something in their circle. We are excited to always share our story to impact other lives beyond our reach. Thank you for being part of our story! You can listen to our interview at https://linktr.ee/thedifferencemakerstx/ Episode 8.
Financial Report
We are very thankful that our monthly goals for the Basic Needs Fund have once more been met. For a full financial breakdown you can view our June+2021+Financial+Report.pdf (squarespace.com) If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask us!
Monthly Reminders/Bible study
Coming close to a year, our founders have hosted a weekly virtual bible study to help with spiritual growth for those interested. We are close to finishing the book of John and it’s been amazing! Given the impact this study has been having on our personal lives, we believe the fruits of this bible study will continue beyond Monday nights as we carry the torch to wherever the Lord leads. We pray for other small bible studies to be birthed from this.
Covid
Please continue to keep Uganda in your prayers as the spread of COVID-19 has spiked up, forcing the government to implement total lockdown. Please keep praying for all the local families affected especially the children.
Nyayo Child Of The Month
We are excited to introduce to you the one and only Tumuhaise Anitah. She is 7 years old, very outgoing, smart and funny. She is currently in Primary 2 (though school is on hold due to Covid). She loves to have fun!
