JULY NEWSLETTER
Hello Nyayo Family!
We hope you are enjoying your summer time. We are very thankful to God for all seasons because He is faithful. Psalm 107:8-9 reminds us how so loving God is!
“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."
This month’s newsletter is unique. We are committed in knowing “YOU”! Are there any stories you would like to share with us concerning your life or your family’s? We are an intimate organization and we care about you just as much as we care about our children in Uganda. We would love to know how we can pray for you.
Praise Report from Uganda
Uganda is no longer under full lockdown as of July 28! However, there still appears to be some guidelines that keep churches and schools closed. We continue to believe for breakthroughs as people recover from COVID and also for suffering communities to get access to resources. The lockdown this month has affected some of our activities but we are thankful that our children are safe and we didn’t lose any. In fact they are more healthy than ever.
Cow and Pig projects
We wanted to share some words with one our awesome volunteers, Abraham. He is one of Gordon’s younger brothers and has spearheaded the development of our two sustainability projects in Uganda: Abraham stated: “I have been so blessed to be working on Nyayo projects here in Uganda. Despite the lockdown, I had the pleasure to be able to take care of these animals everyday and I am pleased with how fast the pigs are growing. It is my pleasure to serve where I can with what I have more so with these projects, thank you.”
Financial Report
We are very thankful that our monthly goals for the Basic Needs Fund have once more been met. For a full financial breakdown of July’s revenue/expenditure just click here! If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask us!
Nyayo Child of the month
Greetings from Tusingwire Joan! She is 10 years old and lives at Ibonde Children’s Home. “I am greeting you in the name of Jesus. I am in Primary 4 and my favorite verse is Psalms 100:4 (“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”). Thank you every person for loving me.”
Abraham (far left), one of the volunteers, currently manages the cow and pig sustainable projects. He smiles often but not in pictures so this frame is a rare occasion!
