AUGUST NEWSLETTER
August had been a tremendous month despite all the chaos around the world. This month has been more about learning and being thankful for the very small things we often take for granted.
Proverbs 12:25 (NIV) says, "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up." In this challenging time we are living in, it is easy to become anxious. Everything around us seems to be negative. However, when we hear a voice of hope, a kind word, cancer being healed, a positive result, or a COVID report which reads NEGATIVE, there is hope. One thing we are thankful for is your friendship that goes beyond the walls of culture or continent.
Updates:
Our monthly contributions continue to sustain our children’s needs. Every basic need including food and medicine have been provided to our kids on a timely manner coming to a year and a half now. Recently our caregivers in Uganda sent us a video of a birthday party they put on for the orphans at Ibonde. In the past, the caregivers had to devote almost all of their time on securing the basics for their kids survival which left little to no time for things like birthdays. So this birthday celebration is actually quite special as this used to not happen. We have always wanted to provide stable finances to the caregivers of both homes to allow them the ability to spend less time worrying about providing basic needs for the orphans under their care. It warms our hearts to see that one of the things they have chosen to spend their new found time on, is simply celebrating these kids lives. We wanted to share this moment in a video on the button below.
Projects
Our two projects we started in June are progressing well. Our animals are growing and we project new births to piglets starting next year.

Nyayo Child of the month
Bwambale Muhasa is our Nyayo child for this month. He is very hardworking at school but he also helps to get other young kids ready for school. Bwambale sometimes helps with breakfast preparation at Ibonde children’s home. He loves to player soccer and does field track.
“My name is Bwambale, I like to eat, play soccer, go to church and help others. I pray the Lord keeps you strong all of you our donors.”
