January Newsletter
Hi team!! We are delighted to share the first newsletter of 2021 with you and affirm that the Lord has so much in store for our Nyayo children, donors, and leaders as we continue to pursue the calling on our lives. As we begin this new year, we declare Isaiah 43:19 “Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it?”
Our leaders will continue hosting weekly bible studies every Monday at 7 pm MT. These bible studies have been our spiritual compass throughout the year, guiding us to continue influencing lives around us.
We have an update on our monthly donations; After talking to our leaders in Uganda, we decided to increase our budget for food by $300 ($200 to Ibonde and $100 to Jinja) so that our Nyayo children can have a more healthy balanced breakfast to help them begin the day off well. This will come primarily in the form of added protein, specifically with the addition of milk into their daily oatmeal. We obviously want to help where we can but felt led to especially increase due to the unexpected sustained donations we have seen over the past 3 months. For a full financial summary for January please click January Monthly Report. Just a reminder, all financial reports to date as well as other documents we thought may be pertinent for transparency will be stored on the Our Financials page. There is a link at the bottom of each web page or you can click here to check it out.
We also would like to congratulate one of our Nyayo founders, Hunter Sutton who has been able to transition from the military this month. Let’s continue to pray for him as he steps into the next chapter of his life.
It is always exciting to share our Nyayo child of the month, this month being Lubega Micah. His smile and heart is what makes him so special. He loves serving other kids a lot.
Lubega Micah “ I thank God for this year for putting me in Primary 3. God bless you.”
As Nyayo, we will continue to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. May you be renewed with new hope as you read this newsletter.
