Hello Nyayo Family!
The Nyayo Mission Trip to visit the Children of Ibonde and Jinja is coming up very quickly and is only 3 weeks away! It’s crazy to think about how much has been happening and how much God has been blessing us along the way. These last months have been filled with ensuring everyone is fully prepared with vaccinations, visas and other required documents needed to not only gain access into the country but to also keep us safe as we do God’s work.
September Giving Report

What’s New?
3 weeks until we leave for Uganda!
As mentioned in last moth’s newsletter, we now have a webpage dedicated to capturing all aspects of our Nyayo 2022 Mission Trip. It is listed under “Our Work” or you can click here to visit it. This page is where we plan to have everything regarding our upcoming trip as well as everyone joining and we will be updating it with the activities and projects that we plan to do. We will also populate this page with pictures and videos taken from the trip to give you all an insight of how our trip went and what was accomplished!
Gordon, Mike, and I are continuing to remain in contact regarding the needs for the children’s homes as well as finalizing the logistics so that it can be as smooth and enjoyable of trip as possible. There has been a lot that has gone into planning this trip and we continue to pray as God guides our preparation!
Below is a brief overview of how our trip is planned out as of now and although things can change, we remain flexible. We continue to pray that regardless of what plan we create, God guides us to make this the best trip possible for the kids, caregivers and volunteers.
Mission Trip Goals
We have so many amazing things planned out for our time in Uganda and we are so excited to get to work! We will be spending much of our days enjoying our time with kids as we teach them about the love of God through bible studies each morning. Throughout the day it will be filled with fun craft activities, soccer and other sport competitions as well as a chance for the children to teach us their favorite songs! Aside from spending time with the children we will also be allowing ourselves time to see how and where our piglets are purchased, where we get their food and how we care for them on a daily basis. Our volunteers will also be able to get their hands dirty as we begin the construction of the new chicken coup that we plan to build and will also be able to set up new mosquito nets for the kids! It’s going to be an incredible trip and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish!
Things We Are Praying About
We continue to ask for your prayers for God’s continued guidance as we follow along wherever the Spirit leads. Prayer is clearly being answered in ways we aren’t even asking for help in. If you’d like to pray along with us, these are things Michael, Gordon, and Hunter are currently praying for:

Bible Study
Weekly Zoom Studies
Please reach out if you’re interested in joining our bible studies via zoom every Monday at 7pm CT! We welcome anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus, even if you just wish to keep your camera off and only listen in on our discussions! We like to keep it light and informal as we have casual conversations about the various chapters we read throughout the Bible! Currently we are studying the book of Psalms.
